MEDIUM TROY
Eugene audiences are by now pretty familiar with the boys in Medium Troy. After all, they have been voted Eugene’s “Favorite Local Band” in the WOW Hall Awards balloting three of the past four years. Last Spring, Medium Troy gained national recognition when they were named High Times Magazine’s “Unsigned Band of the Week” on April 20, 2011. Here’s what High times had to say: “Medium Troy is an amazing homegrown band from the ‘Land of Homegrown,’ Eugene, Oregon. The band has been rocking the Willamette Valley for the past five years and is ready to take its music to the rest of the world.
“Medium Troy is known for epic sounds, fat bass lines and good melodies. The band pays strong attention to catchy hooks and honest lyrics for conscious party people who want to bob their heads. They have a diverse live stage show featuring a range of instruments, including: guitars, bass, drums, keys, synths, samplers, electronic drums, turntables and sax.”
SYNRGY
Planted in Flagstaff AZ, grown in Humboldt County, smoked all over the world -- Synrgy is a reggae massive movement that tours across the globe spreading positive motivational music that blossoms the soul. The word synergy means: Forces coming together to be greater in magnitude than the sum of their separate parts. The band Synrgy takes this definition into the realm of the music they create and their relationship with the audience. Synrgy formed in Flagstaff in 2007. After becoming one of the most recognized bands in the area, they decided to spread into the bigger skies to the West. Relocated to Humboldt County California in summer of 2008, they embraced the culture that only Northern California has to offer. In early 2010, Synrgy released its first studio album Live in Love with 11 original tracks. That spring, Synrgy’s lead singer, Brian Zach, released an 18 track acoustic album called Dream On. Both are available for sale on Itunes. With a backbone of reggae, limbs and organs of funk, rock, ska, and rock-steady, Synrgy is a high energy treat for any live music lover. They demand movement from audiences, which makes shows an experience few forget. The conscious messages entwined in the songs aspire to inspire the minds of all who can perceive them.
SNOW ANGEL
Gabby La La has been heralded as one of the most inspiring mulit-instrumentalists (sitar, ukulele, accordion, theremin, voice) this side of the emerald city! She is a sitarist extraordinaire and Nintendo 8 Bit Beat master. One of the founding members of DAKAH Hip Hop Orchestra, La La went on to play for several years with Les Claypool as a member of his Fancy Band. Claypool also produced and released La La's first album Be Careful What You Wish For... on his record label. Gabby's latest CD, I Know You Know I Know, is completely self produced and performed by La La, using sitar, ukulele, theremin, voice and Nintendo DS LITE! Gabby La La is currently touring with her Duo “Snow Angel” which features her on sitar, ukulele, accordion and voice, and Pamela Parker on keyboard and backing vocals. Snow Angel is the most personal and emotionally inspired project by La La to date, with songs like “This is Where We Go” and “You Rewind the Tape”. Invoking feelings of nostalgia and hopeful possibility, Snow Angel makes an impression that could melt the most cynical of hearts.

All Ages | 7pm

Passafire was formed in 2003 by students attending Savannah College of Art and Design. Throughout the years they have become a perpetually touring band playing hundreds of shows a year with bands like 311, Pepper, Rebelution, Matisyahu, Michael Franti, The Wailers and many more. Bowne doesn’t mind the grueling schedule and adds, “Touring is the best way to keep the buzz about the band going. What keeps it fun and exciting is the people we meet and places we get to see. We are in a new city every day so there’s always something to go see or do. If we didn’t tour constantly, we wouldn’t be doing as well as we are. That’s a fact.”
Winners of WOW Hall's Favorite Local Band Award for the last two years in a row, Medium Troy is back from a Northwest tour with another Pay-What-You-Want Fan Appreciation Party.
“Last year's Pay-What-You-Want Show was a thank you to the fans for voting us Best Local Band and since you did it two years in a row, we thought we should too,” says Troy frontman JoJo Ferreira.
